A few weeks ago I was asked to make two wedding keepsakes. These box photo frames have the bride and grooms names along with their wedding date. The frames are from ikea and I customised them using bits and bods in my craft room. I am determined to start using what I have! But it is easier said than done!
I am just currently finishing off some wedding invitations, which I will show you all when the bride and groom’s big day arrives. I love the buzz and excitement of weddings and all the planning. I wish I could do it all again! The card I am showing off today was a personalised request, the bride and groom paper cut out is from the Silhouette design store. It is one of my favourite designs in my library. Hope you are having a wonderful day filled with loads of crafting.
Wedding season has kicked into full swing. I was asked to create a special card which had the bride and groom’s name along with the date of their wedding day. I made this tri fold card, the background paper is made by Hunkydory and the image of the bride and groom is from the Silhouette store. To make it a little more special I added pearls and a few coloured diamonds.
I’ve been very quite on line all week, sorry! I have been busy making wedding invitations for a client, they turned out beautiful, theres no better feeling in the world than seeing a happy bride. I will put up pictures but I like to wait until all the invites have gone to the guests so I am afraid you will have to wait a few weeks! I made a few more mothers day cards and I have a few more requests to finish off. After this I think that will be the end of 2014’s Mothers Day season! I also decided this week to take my camera out, its been a while since I went somewhere just to take photos. The only problem was that it started to rain! (Typical Northern Ireland weather!). So my photography subject for the day was my dog, Jess, an english Springer Spaniel. x
Both of these cards are available to buy at my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/RibbonandPearlsCards
I love the idea of memory boxes and little reminders of special days and events! As it is almost Valentines Day I wanted to give my other half a little something. Im not into the stereotypical big red hearts or balloons (but I wouldn’t turn down any of it!)So for my design I decided to stayed alway form all the traditional elements. To create the box I used my crafters companion ‘the ultimate pro’ score board. Everything is measured and marked out so it makes the job also easier! To create the flowers on the box I used sizzix die ‘flowers layers #8’. The pattern paper is designed by Melissa Frances and is from ‘classic elegance’ range. The sediment on the front of the card is also from her design range. This is my first attempt at a memory box but not the last!Hope you like it.
