Last Friday was our monthly craft club meet up, the theme for this month was flowers. Our group consists of 6 members, including myself. We collect ideas during the month and then decide on one thing to make. Having other crafters around is great for inspiration, we are all at different levels and we all have different skills we teach each other. This is what we made on Friday night.

I love to give little surprises along with my cards. I truly believe that it is nice to give a little something with out going over the top. It’s the though that counts, isn’t it? I made this card and little box for my brothers birthday I filled the box with lots of haribo sweets. To make the little ‘ chip’ style box I used StampinUp’s fry box die for the sizzix big shot. The stamp sets used are also from StampinUp. I hope you enjoyed this little project!
The inspiration for my last post came from a very talented crafter called Pootles. She make amazing little packages from card I highly recommend you check out her blog. I hope that someday my work can be as inspiring as hers. This little box is so quick and easy to make, I used it to hold 4 little tea lights but it could be used for so much more. I hope the measurements and the image showing where to cut is clear. I’m not used with doing post showing how to construct, but I can only get better! And hopefully someday I will gather together the confidence to make a video!

Once the card stock is cut and scored to size small incisions like the image below should be made, this makes the folds look neat and professional. I used strong double sided tape to hold everything in place.
This is how your card stock should look before folding.

2015-2016 annual catalogue
Yesterday was a very special day for me and my husband, we marked the occasion of our daughter’s very 1st birthday. We celebrated with family and friends. I made this special card for my little girl along with the help of my Silhouette Portrait machine. The papers used are from be bunny, I have had them in my craft stash for ages! The paper bow was made with the help of Stampin Up bow builder punch. My inspiration came from a card which I found on Pinterest. I really enjoyed making this card so I plan to make some more similar to this. Hope you have a wonderful crafty week.
I was requested to make a special 90th birthday card for a client. I decided to make a tri fold card and use a pink famine theme. On this card I used Stampin Up Simply Pressed clay (130685). This is the first time I have ever used this product and i can honestly say it was brilliant fun! It is a soft and very easy to work it clay, it is best if you leave the product to dry over 24 hours. When dry it is very light weight and feeling more like a foam than a clay. If you would like some of this clay click here http://www2.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=130685. I then coloured the clay using encore metallic gold ink. My craft room is still in ‘make over’ mode so all my stash is packed away but hopefully it will all be back out in a few weeks. Happy crafting.
