Lots of Love at Christmas

reindeer card

This was a fun quick little project. Noramlly I start making my Christmas Cards in July. That didnt happen this year because I was so busy making wedding stationery over the summer. I want to make a quick card just to get into the festive mood!. The cute little reindeer is from an old stampin up set called Santa’s Gifts. It is a quirky little set which I always go back to every year. I wanted to make this card a little more modern so I decided to use a deep purple base card. Although it is hard to see I have an acetate sheet over the star, this is what the sequences are sticking too. I used my sizzix machine to cut out the star shape. I cut the star out on the base card. then placed the layer of acetate on the card and finally added the colour card with the die cut shape.

The size of this card is 5×5 which is a lovely size to work with.  I have a large stack of acetate sheets which I have never used so I am going to do some experimenting to see what I can made out of them.

Ireland at Christmas

Desertmartin in the snowkeenaght chapel christmas cardsnow on mountain chrsitmas cardwinter down the fields

I have spent the past few years taking picture of my home area with the intention of making them into photo cards. So far I have only completed a winter set, but I should make it my goal to make a set for each season next year. All these images have been taken in different years and at different times. The past few years we haven’t had any snow. Where is live is beautiful, I live in the countryside at the bottom of Slieve Gallion Mountain. The nearest village is called Desertmartin and it is about a 10 minute drive, it has one small shop a chip shop, a chinese takeaway and a pub (what more do you need!).

I got these images professionally printed onto a good quality photo card stock. I have them listed on my Etsy shop ‘click here to view‘. If you have an Etsy shop send me the link I would love to view it!

Stampin Up’s Popcorn Box dies are perfect for treats. This die set is perfect for all year round use! Every celebration needs some sweets and this little box is perfect for holding them all. The patterned paper is from the same stash I had purchased a few years ago and never used it! I used my silhouette portrait  to cut out the bats. The file name is ‘bat halloween set’ by Studio Illustrado. Now I am off  to deliver some to my neighbours!

Emma Bridgewater meets Daisy Delight.

I love flowers in my home but they can be expensive. So I decided to use my imagination to see if I could come up with an alternative, and this is how it turned out. To make the Daisies I used some floral wire, Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch from Stampin Up. Each flower head is made up of two stamped and punched flowers, I then used hot glue to attach them to the floral wire. I used some artificial flowers from The Range to bulk out the arrangement. The vase is from Ikea. I used chalk paint and I decoupaged the bottle with Emma Bridgewater napkins.  I need to practise my decoupaging skills a little more!

Spooky Sweet Box!

envelope punch box #3envelope punch box #2envelope punch board box

This box is so simple to make and the size is fantastic! I came across this design from a craft blog called Pootles. Sam is amazing at what she does and her 3D designs are amazing she is so inspiring. To make this box I used my Stampin Up Envelope Punch Board. My patterned paper is from an old stash of Halloween Papers that I have never used. This box starts off as an 8×8″ square. It is then marked and punched at 3″ and 5″ and that is how simple it is! I used double sided tape to hold everything together. I finished it off with some bakers twine and two little tags which I stamped ‘spooky’ and ‘boo’. Bella And Friends

I made this little birthday card for a family member’s 12th birthday. She loves animals so the Bella and Friends (141867) was the perfect stamp set. The background of the card I stamped out using the In Colour 2016-2018 Stampin’ Write Markets (141393). I also used Delightful Daisy DSP (144137) to create a layered effect. To finish off the card I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220). If you would like to own any of these products click here and you will be taken directly to my Stampin Up website.

Birthday Box Card.

It has been a long time since I made a box card. So for my husbands 30th Birthday I thought I would make something extra special. He enjoys the outdoors so I decided to use a retired stamp set called Walk in the Wild. I also used a current stamp set called Birthday Banners (141506) to add the finishing touches. If you click here you will be taken directly to my Stampin Up website.

Happy 30th Birthday!

card 30th birthday30th birthday

One of my closest friends turned 30 in July. I have known her since the first day of primary school, we do not get to see each other very often (sometimes being an adult sucks!)but when we do it feels like we have never been apart. To celebrate her birthday I took her for a nice dinner and a few drinks. It was so nice to have a girly evening out! I made her this card and a bottle tab just to make the champagne that little bit more special. All the stamps I used are from a retired Stampin Up set called ‘Bloom with hope’. I used my Silhouette machine to cut the numbers onto some glitter paper and the pink circles.
