Monday marked the start of World Craft Week. It is a great opportunity to engage with others crafters. Follow the hashtag on twitter, facebook and instagram to find out what everyone is making. On world craft week’s facebook page keep an eye out for their daily challenges and remember to hashtag your creations so the world can see them. Happy craft week.

Will you be my page boy?

One of my friends recently got engaged! She asked me to make her a card to ask her nephew to be her page boy. She wanted to make the moment special and it was important that the card was tractor themed.I had to do a search on Pinterest for ideas, I have never been asked to make a tractor themed card before. After some browsing I decided that the best way to make a card was using my Silhouette Portrait to cut a design. I found this tractor in the Silhouette shop. The cut out consists of a few layers but the finished design looks fab.

Confirmation

In my local area many of the primary school children and making their first Confirmation. I was requested to make card by a few different people.  For occasions like this I concentrate on one design unless I get an order going to the same person. To make both designs I used files which I downloaded from Silhouette Studio

Easter Treats!

This is the cutest little sweet box I have ever come across! When I seen the mini egg boxes in the spring/summer Stampin UP catalogue I knew that I had to get them. I am sending these out to my family and friends instead of a huge easter eggs, I will of course put a few small eggs into them!. Another must buy for me was the Basket Builder bundle. It is perfect for Easter but like every Stampin Up products it can be mixed up to suit any occasion. Some of the ideas I have in mind for it are spring cards and packaging, birthdays, get well soon and thank you cards/3D designs. Pinterest is full of brilliant ideas! Click on the pinterest logo at the top of my page to follow me!. If you would like a copy of Stampin Up spring/summer catalogue send me a private message and I will post a copy to you or you can view a digital copy by clicking here. AND remember if you buy £45 worth of products before the 31st March you can pick some awesome free products or if you sign up you can get £130 worth of product for only £99 plus an awesome 20%-25% only all other stamp sets!

What I used to make this

Mother’s Day Flowers

Recently I went to Ikea, I love the place! When I go it is a full day event and normal leaves my pockets empty! It is a brilliant shop for lots of craft items some of my favourites include box frames, ribbon and little glass jars (brilliant for decorating and filling with sweets!). On this visit I seen these little tin vases, they are everywhere on Pinterest. I picked up two of the smallest sizes (£2 each). I had no idea what I was going to make with them but I knew I needed them. After a few days I finally decided to make flowers for them. I made button flowers, the same as from our craft night. I added larger paper flowers and shredded green paper to make grass. To add the finishing touch I added ribbon, I posted them to my Facebook page and they sold almost instantly!
